Step 1: Check if You Already Have a UAN

If you already have a UAN – share it with your employer.

If not, visit EPFO UAN Portal → Click Know your UAN → Enter Aadhaar details.

Step 2: Requirements Before You Start

Updated Aadhaar Card (details must match)
Android Mobile Phone with internet
Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number
Download the UMANG App

Important: Aadhaar details must be correct; otherwise, face authentication will fail.

Step 3: Register on UMANG App

Open UMANG App → Select New User → Register Here
Enter Aadhaar-linked mobile number
Agree to terms and conditions
Create a 6-digit MPIN (for login)
If already registered, simply log in

Step 4: UAN Allotment & Face Authentication

Once logged in:

Go to EPFO → UAN Allotment and Activation
Enter Aadhaar details and submit
App will redirect to Aadhaar Face RD site

Face Authentication Tips:

Keep your face within the circle boundary
Ensure proper lighting (turn on flash if needed)
Remove sunglasses or anything covering your face
Blink your eyes when prompted (multiple times if needed)

Step 5: Confirmation & SMS

After successful verification, you will see Aadhaar details and UAN creation confirmation. You will also receive an SMS with your UAN number.
