UAN Confirmation via SMSStep 1: Check if You Already Have a UAN
If you already have a UAN – share it with your employer.
If not, visit EPFO UAN Portal → Click Know your UAN → Enter Aadhaar details.
Step 2: Requirements Before You Start
- Updated Aadhaar Card (details must match)
- Android Mobile Phone with internet
- Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number
- Download the UMANG App
Important: Aadhaar details must be correct; otherwise, face authentication will fail.
Step 3: Register on UMANG App
- Open UMANG App → Select New User → Register Here
- Enter Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Agree to terms and conditions
- Create a 6-digit MPIN (for login)
- If already registered, simply log in
Step 4: UAN Allotment & Face Authentication
Once logged in:
- Go to EPFO → UAN Allotment and Activation
- Enter Aadhaar details and submit
- App will redirect to Aadhaar Face RD site
- Keep your face within the circle boundary
- Ensure proper lighting (turn on flash if needed)
- Remove sunglasses or anything covering your face
- Blink your eyes when prompted (multiple times if needed)
Step 5: Confirmation & SMS
After successful verification, you will see Aadhaar details and UAN creation confirmation. You will also receive an SMS with your UAN number.
