Overview
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has introduced an online Joint Declaration (JD) process to help members update their profile information accurately.

Parameters That Can Be Updated
Members can update the following 11 parameters (with limited change allowances):
- Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Father/Mother Name
- Relationship
- Marital Status
- Date of Joining
- Reason of Leaving
- Date of Leaving
- Nationality
- Aadhaar Number
Change Limitations
- Maximum of 5 parameters can be changed during the normal course
- Specific number of changes allowed per parameter
- Significant identity-changing modifications require thorough examination
Document Requirements
Proof Documents Needed
- Minor changes: Two supporting documents
- Major changes: Three supporting documents
- Acceptable documents include Aadhaar, Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.
Process Steps
- Member logs into the EPFO member portal
- Navigate to Joint Declaration section
- Select parameters to update
- Upload supporting documents
- Provide Aadhaar-based OTP authentication
- Employer verifies the request
- EPFO processes the final approval
