2. Inter-State Migrant Workers (ISMW)

⚠️ COMPLIANCE ALERT: Wage Ceiling

The definition of “Inter-State Migrant Worker” has changed. Only workers earning less than ₹18,000 per month are covered. Those earning above this limit are EXEMPT from ISMW provisions.

3. Operational & Welfare Changes

4. Single Registration & License

One electronic registration replaces multiple registrations. Contractors get a 5-year All-India license.

Every employer must issue a formal appointment letter to every employee.

Allowed between 7 PM and 6 AM with consent and safety measures.
